Book of the Year 2009

The Wizard of Oz won 'accolade of the evening' for Book of the Year 2009 at last night's British Book Design and Production Awards, 'chosen for its spellbinding appearance, from concept through to all aspects of the finished product'. It was also winner of the Trade Illustrated book category. I'm making myself a special crown. My thanks to the talented Rich Carr for his help with designing the book, and to my publishers, Atlantic Books for supporting the project.

Page 73 of Sterne's Tristram Shandy Volume 1 appears as a black page to inform the reader of the death of Parson Yorick. 73 artists and writers have been invited to contribute a black page for the exhibition at Shandy Hall, York.
